Velocity Dependent Piston LINEAR (VDPL)
The Velocity Dependent Piston Linear has the unique ability to be valved as a digressive piston, with the added versatility of being able to adjust the linear slope after the digressive knee. The linear side of the piston comes in both 1° and 2°. Most of the time the VDP side of the piston is run on compression and the linear face of the piston is run on rebound. This piston gives great chassis support/platform with maximum mechanical grip. This is our most popular piston used to date.
- The Low Speed section is controlled by the amount of bleed, the outer valve stack configuration and the amount of preload to determine the knee/nose profile.
- The Digressive profile is set by the thickness of the outer stack. The amount of time that the curve stays digressive is also influenced by the stiffness of the inner stack and when it is initiated is also controlled by the preload.
- The Linear values and profile are set by the thickness of the inner stack.
