The LS valve train has been a very stable platform for most and with the advent of higher lift cams and stiffer valve springs has came a need for a slight upgrade to the OE rocker system under severe use.
Comp Cams has solved just that issue with their new BSR Max Lift shaft mounted rocker system. Long gone are the needle bearings or having to fool with trunion upgrades. Now a tri layer bearing is used just like on your main and rod bearings. No parts to loose if something goes wrong. The entire set of rockers is now also ran off of one main, large shaft to increase rocker stability and stiffness. This means more lift at the valve and a more stable valve train for those turning more RPM.
Speaking of more lift, the BSR series allows you to safely run 0.675“ lift on LS1 and LS3 style heads and up to 0.700” lift on the LS7 style.
We have ran these on a number of our engines without issue and highly suggest them on our more aggressive road race builds.
